About This Call
Eclectica! Art Gallery, a retail gallery housed in a historic building in Midlothian, VA, invites artists to apply for "Vernal Equinox," a group exhibition running March 19 - April 11, 2020. An opening reception will be held on March 19th. The gallery provides a colorful, eclectic collection of fine art and contemporary crafts.
Artists may submit 1-5 images representing a wide interpretation of Spring, including flowers, trees, seasons, new growth, animals, insects, sea life, sacred symbols, the moon, sun, planets, and traditions of Ostara and pagan festivals of spring. Both 2-D and 3-D fine art and craft will be exhibited. 2-D work may not exceed 66" in width, 40" in height, and 15 pounds. Original work is invited in the following mediums: paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolor), drawings (etchings and lithography allowed), collage, encaustic, mixed-media (2-D and 3-D), sculpture, textiles/surface design, clay (ceramic, pottery, polymer), jewelry (no watches), wood, metal, fiber art, glass (stained glass, fused glass, blown/lampwork), mosaic, and recycled/upcycled materials. Sculpture must fit through a regular door without requiring a ramp. No open edition prints, giclee reproductions, photography, or work requiring electricity. Retail prices must not exceed $3,000 per item.
Entry fee is $30. Submission deadline is March 7, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Minimum 5 images required; maximum 5 images. Selected works must be shipped or delivered on select days; additional information will be sent with acceptance.
