Verdant Heart

Verdant Heart is an exhibition at Fe Gallery in Sacramento, CA, running from April 9 to May 27, 2022. The theme invites artists to submit their vision of a "Verdant Heart" as we look forward beyond COVID—interpreted as an aura of buoyant and cheerful energy rooted in the green shoots of life.

Eligible artists are 18 years or older and must be US residents. The entry fee is $30 plus a $5 media fee. Submissions should include 3-6 images of work. Two-dimensional work (flat) and three-dimensional sculpture are accepted; video is not. 2D work must be framed or mounted on a rigid surface, with a maximum of 36" x 36" including frame. 3D work must be freestanding or wall-mounted, with dimensions between 8" x 8" x 8" minimum and 5' x 5' x 5' maximum. Any reproducible work (digital paintings) must be hand-signed with edition information. All work must be clean, undamaged, and have appropriate hanging mechanisms (wire preferred). Accepted artwork must be delivered to the gallery by April 1, 2022. The opening reception is Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Prizes include $350 cash for the "Fe Favorite," $100 for second place, and $50 for third place, selected by a jury of Fe Gallery representatives. Sales are handled on a 60/40 commission split (60% to artist, 40% to gallery). Artwork will be available for view and purchase online at www.FEgallery.com.
