About This Call
The Vancouver Arts and Music Festival invites artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to submit work for the Juried Art Exhibit at the 2025 festival, taking place July 31-August 3 in Esther Short Park. The exhibit will be held at the Hilton Vancouver across the street from the park. Artists are encouraged to submit work that centers on the concepts of collaboration, inclusivity and community.
The $30 entry fee allows for up to 3 works. All media types are welcome; art must not exceed 48 x 60 inches including framing, though larger 2D works may be considered if the artist provides their own display apparatus, and 3D work of any size will be considered. All works must be original creations available for sale. A 40% commission applies to sold work. Submissions must include 1-3 images.
The jury committee will consist of curators and art professionals from across the region. Five monetary awards of $300 each will be given: three Juror-Selected awards, one Mayor's Choice award, and one People's Choice award. Each award includes additional opportunities such as community partnerships, exhibits or mentorships. Jury date is July 10, with art acceptance notification on July 12. Artwork delivery is Thursday, July 31, 9 a.m. to noon. The show opens Friday, August 1 at 10 a.m. and closes Sunday, August 3 at 4 p.m. An award reception is held Sunday, August 3 at 1 p.m., with unsold art pick-up from 4-6 p.m.
