About This Call

The Vancouver Arts and Music Festival welcomes applications for the 2026 Festival Art Exhibit. This 3-day exhibit attracts thousands of art lovers and collectors and concludes with an awards ceremony. The festival is seeking art by regional artists centering on the themes of community, environment, and culture.

The Festival Art Exhibit will be held at the Hilton Vancouver, across the street from the park. Three jurors, the mayor, and attendees will select 5 artworks for awards. Awarded artists receive monetary prizes of $300 each and a custom award by a local maker. Additional opportunities such as community partnerships, exhibits, or mentorship are available to award recipients.

Entry fee is $30 and includes up to 3 entries. Any medium is accepted; artwork must not exceed 36 x 36 inches, including framing. All works must be original creations available for sale (unless the artist is legally prohibited from selling). A 40% commission applies to sold works. Artists must submit a statement (300 words or less) explaining how their work relates to the themes. Artwork delivery is Thursday, August 6, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The exhibit opens Friday, August 7 at 10:00 am and closes Sunday, August 9 at 5:00 pm. The award reception is Sunday, August 9 at 3:00 pm, with unsold artwork pick-up from 4:00-6:00 pm. Acceptance notification will be sent July 13.
