Request for qualifications from artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the Scott C. Keller Building on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The Scott C. Keller Building is a new 165,000 square foot Campus Gateway facility located between Browning Administration and Woodbury School of Business. The building will house accounting, finance & economics, strategic management, organizational leadership, graduate programs and marketing departments. The area is highly visible to the public and is one of the first things visitors see as they enter the UVU campus from the south main entry. The building design and plazas offer opportunities for artists to contribute in public interior and exterior sites, including the lower floors, atrium and "100' courtyard walkway." The Selection Committee is open to 2D, 3D, site-wide multiples, plaza interpretations and/or digital content. The exterior north side of the building facing the campus quad and interior spaces of the upper floors are not ideal for artistic contributions.

A budget of $511,000 is available for all related expenses of the public art commission(s) including artist fees, fabrication, insurance, shipping, travel, installation, documentation, and other costs. Resident American or legal resident artists and artist teams are encouraged to apply; Utah artists are strongly encouraged. Art Selection Committee members, staff of Utah Arts & Museums and Method Studio are not eligible. Required application materials include a letter of interest (5000 character maximum), visual support materials (up to 10 still images and/or up to 3 video files), and a CV/resume (up to 3 pages). The deadline for materials is May 15, 2020. Semi-finalists will be selected to present full proposals to the committee on August 4, 2020.
