About This Call
The 50th annual Utah Arts Festival is scheduled for June 18-21, 2026, at Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City. Each summer the Utah Arts Festival transforms downtown Salt Lake City, attracting 35,000+ attendees and generating over one million in art sales. Being one of the only remaining multi-disciplinary events in the nation, we strive to combine high quality artistic presentations bringing together the best local, regional and national talent across all programs. We proudly present four days of award-winning, fine arts in the artist marketplace, music performances, dance, literary and street theater performances along various stages throughout the grounds, as well as an internationally recognized short film program, urban arts program, a children's art yard filled with free make-and-take projects, demonstrating artists, workshops and a wide variety of culinary and beverage options.
New in 2026, artists have optional reduced hours: 5pm – 9 pm on Thursday, Noon - 9:00 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and Noon to 8 pm on Sunday. While the Festival will have security onsite, artists who choose to close early must secure their booths before leaving for the night. The Festival is open to all artists within the accepted medium categories including 2-D Mixed Media, 3-D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Graffiti/Street Art, Graphics and Printmaking, Jewelry, Metalwork, Painting, Photography and Digital Photography, Sculpture, Wearable Art, and Wood. All work must be original, handcrafted work with direct, hands-on involvement in the creation and execution of each piece. No work from commercial molds, kits or manufactured work will be accepted.
Accepted artists must be on-site throughout the entire four days of the Festival. Images must be representative of the work to be shown at the Festival, with 4 images required. Application fee is free. Important dates include: Application Deadline February 26th, Jury February 28th - March 1st, Notification March 14th, Booth rental fee due April 3rd, and Final withdrawal date April 17th.
