About This Call

The Bridge Arts Foundation invites artists worldwide to participate in "Urban Pulse," a juried group exhibition taking place at The Scholart Selection gallery in San Gabriel, California, from January 25 to February 22, 2025. This is a physical in-gallery exhibition. The exhibition explores the rhythmic heartbeat of the city, capturing the dynamic interplay between human life and the urban landscape, examining the tension between personal identity and urbanization, and reflecting on how the urban environment influences the dreams, challenges, and aspirations of city dwellers.

All mediums and genres are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and mixed media. Artists must be 18 years or older. The entry fee is $30 USD for up to 5 artworks. Submissions must include up to 5 high-quality images (maximum 5 MB each), an artist biography, artist statement, and resume. Artwork must be original, completely ready to hang or display, and match what was submitted. Framed pieces must have wire hanging (no sawtooth hangers). Artwork directly printed or drawn on mounting board, matboard, or foam board will not be accepted.

The submission deadline is November 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent by December 3, 2024. Accepted artworks must be delivered by January 17, 2025, either prepaid and mailed or hand-delivered to the gallery. All artwork must be priced for sale with a 70% artist / 30% gallery commission structure. The exhibition is open to the public and promoted to gallery clients and followers. Jurors include Laurie Ann Farrell (curator and art historian) and Charles Christopher Hill (artist). Tia Xu is the curator.
