About This Call
Urban Arts Festival, organized by the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance, is the largest free community art event in Utah. The 15th annual Urban Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, August 30th from 12 pm to 10 pm at The Gateway in Salt Lake City. Started in 2011, Urban Arts Festival quickly became one of Salt Lake City's most unique and exciting events, showcasing local artists, performers, and musicians. The festival is a celebration of urban and artistic culture for the community, art lovers, and families, featuring art vendors, music and dance performances, live painting demonstrations, Low Rider Exhibits, and much more.
Approximately 100 artists will be invited to exhibit at the 2025 Urban Arts Festival. The jury is composed of professionals working within the art community who will evaluate applicants based on artistic excellence and adherence to the festival's focus. Artists must submit 6 images, a booth shot, and a $25 non-refundable jury fee with their application by July 23, 2025. Accepted artists will be notified on July 21st and must commit to exhibit and pay booth fees by July 25th.
Booth fees range from $150 for a 10x10 space to $250 for preferred placement. Artists must provide their own tent, display materials, and weights (30 pounds per tent leg). The festival features original works only - no imports, commercial, or purchased for resale work. All vendors must collect and report Utah state sales tax on sales made at the festival and will receive temporary tax ID numbers at check-in.
