About This Call

Urban Artist Market is accepting submissions for a juried competition recognizing artists across multiple disciplines. Artists will be evaluated on proficiency and excellence of their craft. Eligible disciplines include painting, printmaking, photography, digital art, mixed media, encaustic, mosaic, leather, fiber art, wearable art, jewelry design, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, woodworking, basketry, glass art, metal smithing, and drawing.

Submissions require 1-3 images of original, non-manufactured artwork. The entry fee is $25.00. One submission will be selected as "Best of Best of Show" and receive a $350 certificate for classes through the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Winners will be announced in Arts & Culture Texas Magazine and displayed on the Urban Artist Market website. The artist showcase takes place on June 12 at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria.

Jurors include Diana Pollock (Executive Director of the Creative Arts Center), Brett Dyer (Professor of 2D Studio Art at North Lake College), and Roberta Masciarelli (Assemblage Artist and curator of Addison Circle Art Center).
