(Up)Setting the Stone, We Are SNAG Membership Series

This online exhibition is open to all SNAG members 18 years of age or older. Applicants need not reside in the United States. All work must be original and produced within the last three years (2013 or later). Objects made from commercial kits or commercially available plans are not eligible. Applicants are strongly encouraged, but not required, to apply with images that have not been widely circulated in Metalsmith or other publications. Collaborations are allowed under the conditions that all artists involved are current members of SNAG, and artists may only participate in one application: either as part of a collaboration or as part of a personal application, but not both. There are no size restrictions for this exhibition.

Applications must be submitted online through CallForEntry.org by September 30, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. The non-refundable application fee is $25, used for domain hosting costs, juror honorariums, promotional materials, and CallForEntry.org fees. For each application, submit both a general shot and detail photos (if available) of up to 3 separate pieces. All works must be accompanied by title, material, dimensions, and year of completion. Artists may submit an artist statement up to 3000 characters and a brief bio up to 250 words. Video submissions may be sent to [email protected] or shared via Dropbox, Google Drive, or YouTube.

Notification of results will be sent by email on November 1, 2016 (date may be subject to change). The online exhibition goes live on the SNAG//SPACE website on December 1, 2016. All decisions of the jurors are final.
