Uplifting Art for Elevator Doors 2021

Three images will be selected, one for each elevator door in the Cultural Center's Education Wing. The images, provided as high-resolution digital files, will be reproduced on material to be affixed to the elevator doors for one year. Each artist will receive a $250 stipend and acknowledgment with contact information at the site of the installation.

Deadline for submissions is May 28, 2021. Winners will be notified by June 11, 2021, and artists must provide digital files for the printer by June 18, 2021. Installation is scheduled for June 2021. Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 images per artist. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

All artwork must be original to the artist. All mediums are acceptable, but sculptors and other artists whose images include background material should consider how the background factors into the final image reproduced for display. All images must be in JPEG or JPG format with a minimum size of 1,200 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 5 MB. The elevator doors measure 36" wide x 80" high (1:2.2 ratio). Submit work in portrait orientation only; landscape cannot translate to these dimensions. Images that are more than half as wide as they are high may be cropped to fit the available space. Selection is by director's choice with no personal feedback given by jurors. Notification will be done by email. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist's website.
