Uplifting Art 2018

UPLIFTING ART 2018 is an international art competition. Artists may submit up to 20 images in any medium. Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

Deadline for submissions is May 4, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Winners will be notified by May 18, 2018. Selected artists must provide digital files for the printer by May 25, 2018, with installation scheduled for June 2018. Each accepted artist will receive a $250 stipend and acknowledgement with contact information at the installation site.

All artwork must be original to the artist. All mediums are acceptable; however, sculptors and other artists whose images include background material should consider how the background will appear in the final reproduced image. Jurors will make selections by director's choice, and no personal feedback will be provided. Notification will be sent by email. Images must be submitted in JPEG format at minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi, with maximum file size of 5 mb. Successful submissions must later be provided in large, 300 dpi TIFF files. Images will be displayed on elevator doors measuring 36" wide x 80" high (1:2.2 ratio in portrait orientation); images more than half as wide as they are high may be cropped to fit the available space.
