About This Call
UPLIFTING ART 2017 is an international art competition. The deadline for submissions is May 5, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Winners will be notified by May 19, 2017, with installation scheduled for June 2017.
Entry fees are $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 images per artist. All mediums are acceptable. Artwork must be original to the artist. Images must be submitted in JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi, with a maximum file size of 5 mb. Successful submissions must later be provided in large, 300 dpi TIFF files. The elevator doors where work will be displayed measure 36" wide x 80" high (1:2.2 ratio in portrait orientation). Images that are more than half as wide as they are high may be cropped to fit the available space.
Each accepted artist will receive a $250 stipend and acknowledgement with contact information at the site of the installation. Jurors will make selections by director's choice, and no personal feedback will be provided. Notification will be sent by email. Entry is through Café (www.callforentry.org), a web-based submission service. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist's website.
