Upcycling Exhibition

The Upcycling Exhibition is a national juried exhibition that explores works of artists made from recycled and reclaimed materials. Each work must be constructed from at least 50% recycled materials. 2D and 3D works are welcome. There is no restriction on content and no overall theme other than Upcycling as the determining factor. All work must be the original creation of the artist and must have been created within the last 12 months. Artists must provide a statement about their piece and how using recycled and reclaimed materials helps their community.

The exhibition is juried by Linda Chappel, an adjunct instructor in Art and Art History at Tohono O'odham Community College. Awards include Best of Show ($500), Award of Excellence ($300), Award of Merit ($200), and two Honorable Mentions ($100 each). The entry fee is $35 with an additional $5 for each additional image up to 3 total entries. TCA members receive a $5 discount with code Upcycle25.

All work must be for sale with TCA retaining a 40% commission. The opening reception is January 2, 2026 from 5-7pm, and the exhibition runs through February 7, 2026. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide prepaid return labels. Work must arrive ready to hang or display, and giclee reproductions on canvas are not permitted.
