About This Call
The Center for Fine Art Photography invites photographers worldwide to submit work exploring the theme "(Un)Natural Cycles: Air, Water, Land." As the effects of climate change become more pronounced, the earth's cycles and habitats are changing in unexpected ways. This call seeks to explore a visual conversation about both earth and human ecosystems with reactions, challenges, warnings, and possible solutions for our shared future.
Photographers working in all photographic mediums—digital, film, mixed, and unique processes—are eligible to participate. Submissions must include a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 20 images. Entry fee is $35 for non-members ($30 for members) for three images, with additional images at $5 each for non-members ($3 for members). All submitting artists must own the copyright to their images.
Selected artists' work will be included in an online exhibition (October 14, 2022 – January 15, 2023) with artist website links. The Center provides event press release and social media promotions to an audience of 180,000+ followers internationally. Awards include a Juror's Award of $300, Director's Award of $300, and Honorable Mentions. Six selected exhibitors will receive virtual 20-minute portfolio reviews with juror Elizabeth Cheng Krist, a National Geographic photo editor with over 20 years of experience. A virtual reception and artist talks will be held October 27th from 6-7:30 PM MT, with virtual portfolio reviews from 1-4:00 PM MT. All submitting artists receive email notification with results. Images are submitted online via CaFE.
