About This Call
Silverwood Park invites artists who are at least 18 years old to submit work for a juried exhibition titled (Un)Natural Boundaries and Borders. The exhibition runs October 14 - November 30, 2021, and is juried by Katayoun Amjadi.
Artists are invited to submit work that reflects the impact of natural or unnatural boundaries and borders and how they define our relationship to the natural world and each other. Boundaries can be physical, political, economic, social, or cultural. Work can be 2-D and 3-D, representational or abstract. Framed work should not measure more than 40 inches in width. 3-D work must fit on a 15" x 15" pedestal or be freestanding or suspended.
Submission deadline is August 15, 2021 by 11:59 pm. Applicants must submit 1-5 images with image information, an artist statement, and a resume or bio as a PDF. Notification by email will be sent September 8. Delivery by shipment is September 27 - October 5, or by drop-off September 27 - October 4. Opening reception is October 14 from 6 - 8 pm. Artwork return is December 1 - 8 for artist pick-up or the week of December 6 for return shipping. Artists are responsible for all shipping fees and insurance. Silverwood Park retains a 30% commission on work sold in the gallery. For questions, contact Eileen Cohen at 763-694-2091 or [email protected].
