Unlocking the Future

Unlocking the Future is a wall hanging exhibition accepting 2D work or arranged 3D objects mounted inside a frame. Groupings constituting one piece are welcome if they fit within the framework and must be "ready to hang." Artists must provide wall mounting parts, findings, and any specialty hanging tools, along with a detailed description and diagram of how the piece is arranged and hung. Artists must be 18 years or older.

Each artist may submit up to 3 entries for a $15 fee (ECU students may submit for $5 with coupon code). Accepted work must be shipped and received by December 17, 2019, or hand delivered between 10am-8pm on that date. All work must be labeled with title and artist name at delivery. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery and must provide a return shipping label.

The exhibition runs January 3-30, 2020, with an opening reception on January 3, 5-8pm, and a Clarity 20/20 Reception on January 17, 7-10pm. Three cash awards will be given: 1st Place $175, 2nd Place $100, and 3rd Place $50. Accepted work shipped will be returned the week of February 3, 2020, and may be picked up Friday, January 31 between 10am-9pm or Saturday, February 1 between 10am-4pm.
