UNLEASHED explores the theme of being released from entrenched opinions, issues, and methods of doing things and the challenge of finding alternatives in personal lives, larger surroundings, and even the globe. What does it look like when we free ourselves from self-imposed limitations or from restraints pressed upon us from family, society, partners, peers, religion, or work?

Creative thinkers from all walks of life are encouraged to submit works of art in all media including drawing, painting, print, sculpture, collage, and mixed media. The juror is Jennifer Garner, tenured art faculty at Metro State University of Denver. She teaches multiple sections of the capstone course, Senior Experience: Thesis and Portfolio, to all graduating studio art majors. From 2002-2012 she served as director and curator of Emmanuel Gallery on campus and Metro's off-campus Center for Visual Art. Jennifer has over 22 years of arts administration and gallery experience and 19 years of college teaching. She has a BFA in printmaking from Metro State University of Denver and an MFA in printmaking and photography from Texas Tech University.

Accepted artists' work will be exhibited at the Annex @ Core Gallery in the Santa Fe Arts District, 900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204. Submissions may be no larger than 30"x24" for 2D work or no larger than 5'x12"x12" and 25 lbs for 3D work. Submit up to 3 works for $30.00 entry fee. WCA-CO is the Colorado chapter of the national organization, Women's Caucus for Art. Membership is $60.00 per year. You do not need to be a member to enter this show.
