About This Call
The Museum of Art at the University of New Hampshire invites UNH alumni photographers working in all areas, mediums, and styles to submit entries for the 2016 Alumni Photography Exhibition, held in conjunction with the University's Sesquicentennial celebration. Submissions are accepted from April 1 through May 11, 2016. There is no entry fee, but participation is limited to graduates of the University of New Hampshire. The exhibition will be on view August 31 – October 16, 2016, with an opening reception on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 6 – 8 PM.
Guest juror Kristen Gresh '97, Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will make selections from digital submissions. No more than 5 photographs may be submitted. All works must be prepped, matted, framed, and ready for installation. Each photograph can be no larger than 30 x 40 inches framed with glass or Plexiglass. Photographs with glass cannot be shipped and must be hand delivered. Artists are responsible for shipping and insuring accepted works to and from the Museum of Art. Shipped artwork must arrive by August 15th with a pre-paid return shipping label. In-person drop-off is available on August 15th or 16th by advance arrangement with the Exhibition Manager. De-installation begins October 17, 2016. Accepted works will be covered according to the Museum of Art's loan agreement policy while on display. Works will not be offered for sale during this exhibition. Participating artists must agree to allow the Museum of Art and gallery visitors to photograph work while on display for educational and publicity purposes.
