(un)INHABITED - An Exploration of Human Structure

(un)INHABITED explores the structures created by humans, both inhabited and uninhabited. The exhibition seeks works exploring abandoned spaces, occupied spaces, and the contrasts between growth and decay, new and old. Photographers, digital artists, graphic designers, video artists, and mixed media artists are invited to submit.

Entry fee is $35 for up to 5 images, with each additional image costing $7. Maximum 10 entries per artist. Accepted media includes photography, digital art, graphic design, scanography, phoneography, scanned prints, drawings, doodles, and digital recreations. Specto Art Space provides free professional printing, matting, and framing for accepted works in the following sizes: 12"x12", 12"x15", 12"x16", or 12"x18". Contact the gallery if your work falls outside these parameters. The show runs September 8 - October 10, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 8. Awards include $400 for best in show and two $100 honorable mentions.

Artists retain copyright of their work. Specto will use work in promotional materials only with permission and will never print, distribute, or sell work without consent. Exhibition prints are not for sale and are archived by the gallery. If a sale inquiry occurs, the artist will be notified and can authorize a print edition. Sales include a 35% commission to Specto and 65% to the artist. Juror: Jeremiah Morris, Director and Founder of Specto Art Space.
