Unearthing

Sims Contemporary presents "Unearthing," an online exhibition engaging with the idea of a future that is not predetermined, but rather a dynamic, evolving possibility shaped by collective actions, imaginations, and introspections. Artists across mediums unearth speculative landscapes, exploring a future that emerges from the tensions between the known and the unknown, the real and the imagined. Through innovative use of sculpture, painting, installation, and interactive experiences, each work contributes to a broader narrative of exploration and possibility.

This opportunity is open to both emerging and established artists internationally. To participate, submit a $45 entry fee along with 3 high-resolution images (300dpi, under 5 MB file size), an artist statement (approximately 150 words), CV, email address, phone number, and social media handle(s). All medium types are welcome except video. Works must be for sale. If selected, one to three images will be displayed in the exhibition, with the opportunity to be shown on the gallery's Artsy page for an additional fee.

Eligibility requires at least three years of experience showing work in public spaces (CV must be submitted), the ability to process credit card payments, and the ability to ship artwork to buyers. The exhibition runs January 1-31, 2025. Collectors will contact artists directly via email or social media, not through the gallery.
