Under The Mountain Artist Call

The Potentialist Workshop team in Reno, NV is creating a new immersive art exhibit called Under The Mountain in 2025. The exhibit will be 20,000 sq ft with both indoor and outdoor spaces, located in Reno, Nevada, and will be open to the public for two years. The team is seeking additional artists to contribute elements or creatures for this touchable museum immersive experience.

Accepted artwork types include soft sculpture, large scale sculpture, 2-D art, video installation, sound installation, and interactive art. All submissions must be interactive, engaging, and story-driven. Artists must submit a minimum of 3 work samples (up to 5 total, which can include images, audio, or video), a brief art proposal, and an artist bio. The entry fee is $5.00.

Artist compensation is $5,000 total, including shipping and materials costs. Artwork will be installed for at least two years from 6/1/25 - 6/1/27 and must be completely installed by 5/25/25. The art call deadline is 3/1/25 at 11:59 p.m. MST, with artist notification on 3/31/25. This call is open to all artists internationally. The Potentialist Workshop does not cover travel expenses; shipping costs for art are included in the stipend, but artists are responsible for their own travel and lodging if they wish to be present for installation.
