Under The Big Top

Vestige Concept Gallery invites artists to submit work for "Under The Big Top," a curated exhibition celebrating an "Americana carnivale" of artistic invention. The show welcomes artwork from any medium (excluding video art) that follows and/or challenges the theme, which encompasses not only circus and tent settings but also alternative lifestyles, festivals, travels, and costume. Work should be fun and attractive for audiences and collectors. Sculptural and 3D works are encouraged.

The exhibition is open to artists age 18 and over in the United States and Canada at any career level (Student, Emerging, Mid-Career, or Professional). Work must be original, ready to display, and not previously shown at Vestige Concept Gallery. All work must be for sale at listed prices. Giclees and reproductions are not accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital work. Print works (aside from monoprints) must include an edition number. Applicants may submit up to 10 entries; the $28 entry fee includes 2 entries, with additional entries at $5 each. Accepted artists will be notified by June 27th. Shipped work must arrive by July 13th. The opening reception is Saturday, July 15th, with the show running through August 20th.

Accepted artwork must match submitted images exactly; no substitutions are permitted. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance to and from the gallery using FedEx or UPS, with return-service labels required. 2D work must not exceed 30 pounds including frame. Wall pieces must be securely wired and framed; sawtooth hangers are acceptable only for photography and small work under 5 pounds. Ornate, barn-style, and historical-looking frames are subject to removal at gallery discretion. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all sales. For questions, contact [email protected].
