Under Pressure

Webster Arts is accepting submissions for Under Pressure, a winter art exhibition focusing on the variety and diversity of printmaking. The exhibition is open to artists age 18 or older, residing in the US or abroad. Juror Marie Oberkirsch, director of Central Print, will select works for display. The juror will consider all works created by any printmaking process.

Entry Deadline: October 15, 2021 at 11:59 PM. Entry Fee: $25 for up to three entries, $5 for each additional entry up to a total of 10 images. Submit up to 10 JPEG digital images between 1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 PPI/dpi, 5 MB maximum size. Eligibility: All printmaking processes accepted. Framed wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" x 48". All wall works on paper must be framed. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. Accepted work cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibit. No ceiling-installed work or video. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application. No reproductions. Please do not submit work that has been exhibited in any Webster Arts gallery in the past.

Notification: October 26, 2021. In-person delivery of artwork: November 8-9, 2021. Deadline to receive shipped artwork: November 9, 2021. Opening reception: November 16, 2021. Exhibition dates: November 16 - December 31, 2021. An independent juror will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes. Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. The artist is responsible for shipping costs and return postage. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup by carrier.
