Uncommon Threads: Fiber - Quilting - Weaving Art

SCORE (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites artists and designers to enter the juried Uncommon Threads virtual exhibit. The SFVACC seeks artists who can provide a well-rounded range of both 2D and 3D fiber art, including wearables. All submitted art will be juried using digital images (.JPGs). Video of art may accompany .JPGs upon entering.

Artwork submissions are limited to six (6) original artworks per artist as .JPGs in all media except video. Work must have been created within the last three years. Entries must be original and of the artist's own execution. Do not submit works which violate copyright laws or artwork created under the direct supervision of an instructor. Once artwork is submitted, it may not be substituted or withdrawn. All juried artwork must remain online until the end of the exhibit. Please do not enter art that has been shown at any previous SFVACC/SCORE exhibit.

All entries must be submitted as high resolution (1-5MB) digital .JPEG or .JPG images formatted in RGB color. Images should be cropped to remove background and/or frame; if cropping is not possible, a neutral background is preferable. Entry fee is $35 for one entry, with up to 5 additional entries at $5 each. Payment is made through CaFÉ via credit card. Fees are non-refundable. There is no guarantee of acceptance into the exhibit.

Juror: Georgia Freedman-Harvey, Arts Consultant & Curator. Awards: Best of Show $800, 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $300, plus up to four Honorable Mention awards. Exhibit opens December 1, 2021, with a Virtual Artists' Reception on December 4, 2021 at 5:00-7:00 pm PST. Exhibit closes December 31, 2021, and will remain on view on the SFVACC website Archived Exhibits page indefinitely. Entry deadline: November 3, 2021 at 11:59 pm MST. Acceptance notifications by November 11-13, 2021. Award winners notified by November 15, 2021.
