UNC Juried Photography Show: Wet Plate Collodion

UNC Exhibition in Mariani Gallery at the University of Northern Colorado, January 20 - March 4, 2015. Open to all photographers, both amateur and professional who are at least 18 years old. Images can be of any subject matter but photographers must use the Wet Plate Collodion process. Entry deadline: Sunday, December 7, 2014. Entry fee: $30 for up to three images. Juried by Denver artist and educator Quinn Jacobson, whose expertise since 2000 has focused on historic photographic processes, particularly Wet Collodion, with research and writing on the history of photography.

Awards: Juror's Selection $500; Director's Selection $250. Venue: University of Northern Colorado, School of Art & Design, Mariani Gallery, 8th Avenue and 18th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80639. The Mariani Gallery displays artwork by local, regional, national, and international artists and is secured with an alarm system and gallery attendant on site during open hours. Juror Quinn Jacobson will be on campus for the closing ceremony and awards presentation. A gallery talk and workshops and/or demonstrations will also be held.

An exhibition catalog with a photo of every accepted entry and each artist's statement will be produced. Each artist will receive a minimum of 10 copies. Digital images of artwork must be a non-altered representation of the actual works to be juried. Artists with accepted artwork will be notified by email starting December 12. Accepted artwork may not be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition. The artist is responsible for shipping both ways and insurance on the work to and from UNC. UNC is responsible for insurance during the exhibition only.
