Umlauf Sculpture Exhibition

Members of Texas Society of Sculptors and sculptors who agree to become members prior to September 1, 2022 may enter. Artists must be age 18 or older and US residents living and working in the USA. The entry fee is $30. Submit 3 to 5 images of sculptures via CAFÉ representing your work. The entry deadline is Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

The exhibition takes place at Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum in Austin, TX. Set-up is Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:30am. Exhibition hours are 11:00am to 4:00pm. Display spaces are 8-feet wide by 4-feet deep under a covered outdoor terrace at the front entrance, with limited space available for larger sculptures on uncovered pavers. Display your work on matching pedestals or on a table covered with black cloth. The Umlauf provides a limited number of tables (4-ft., 6-ft., and 8-ft.); requests must be made by September 12th. A kitchen with refrigerator is available for artists. Breakdown occurs immediately after 4:00pm.

Four cash prizes will be awarded to sculptors before the end of the exhibition. Any sales are handled directly between artist and buyer with no commission charged by the Umlauf or TSOS. Artists are responsible for collecting and paying Texas sales tax. This is a community outreach event; sculptors are encouraged to include works in progress and discuss their creative process with visitors. Free admission to the Sculpture Garden & Museum is offered on Museum Day, with live music in the Sculpture Garden and food trucks on site.
