About This Call

The Louisiana Percent for Art program invites faculty of UL's Department of Visual Arts to submit 2-D and/or 3-D artworks for consideration of purchase to be installed throughout Fletcher Hall. Participants must be currently employed as a UL Lafayette Visual Arts faculty/staff member. Work from faculty who have retired in the past ten years will also be considered.

A variety of artworks are welcome for submission, including: oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, pastels, photography, ceramics (wall-hanging ceramics only), printmaking, textile, and mixed media. All art must be framed and/or ready to hang. The Percent for Art program will purchase $30,000 of artwork through this call.

Each artist can submit up to three works for consideration, with up to three images per submission. There will be two rounds of jurying. If your artwork is selected to move to the second round, you will be required to bring the physical artwork to a specified location in the Visual Arts Department. Participants must register as a vendor through the LaGov Vendor Enrollment Portal. This call is open to professional artists 18 and over, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identification, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical ability.
