About This Call
Twenty local Cape Cod and Cape-adjacent artists will each have a 20 square foot wall area (6'8" high, 3' wide) to display their two- or three-dimensional work. Hangable pieces must be no larger than 12"x12", each priced no higher than $100. Visual artists as well as fine artisans and craftspeople are encouraged to submit. Work needs to have been produced within the last five years. All styles and aesthetics are considered, and this call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional. The content of submissions should be appropriate for all viewers.
The show runs from November 17, 2024 through January 11, 2025. Artists will self-install their work on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10am-2pm (bring small nails/brads and a hammer). Work will be sold off the wall throughout the exhibition period, and artists may replenish their wall as their work sells. Artists are urged to price to sell. Pick-up dates are January 11, 13, and 14 (no works will be shipped). The commission split is 60/40, with payout after closing. Members of the Cultural Center are charged a 30% commission on all sales; non-members are charged a 40% commission.
Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total entries. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Framed work must be fitted firmly in frame with wire for hanging. All images must be submitted in JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, with a maximum file size of 5 mb. The Center's insurance does not cover damage to art during shipping; artists should insure all work themselves. For exhibition questions, contact [email protected].
