About This Call
Tuscany Plein Air Annual Scholarship is open to international artists commencing September 2015. The scholarship provides a one-week training workshop in the hills of Florence, Italy.
Benefits include working in close proximity to three experienced plein air artists in Tuscany, accommodation in a historical villa, workshops, demonstrations and lectures in plein air painting, most meals, and a transportation stipend from country of residency to Florence. Travel stipends vary by region: West Coast USA $500, East Coast USA $400, Continental Europe €150, Asia €300. Painting materials and restaurant meals are not included.
Applicants must submit contact details (email, telephone, residential address, website if applicable), 2-4 images of landscape drawings or paintings in any medium, and a description of how they would benefit from this experience. Application fee is $35. Semi-finalists will be interviewed via Skype. Entry deadline is July 20, 2015. Semi-finalists will be contacted July 27, and finalists announced August 4.
