About This Call
In May 2025, Tulsa's Mayfest will celebrate its 52nd year as a long-running festival located downtown in the Tulsa Arts District and Historic Greenwood. Created to promote the visual and performing arts, this three-day outdoor, family-oriented event invites fine artists to exhibit their work. Artists at Tulsa Mayfest have a history of strong sales, and entries are professionally judged according to strict guidelines by 4 independent jurors based on creativity, design, and execution.
The festival accepts original, handmade work in 12 categories including Clay, Digital Media, Drawing/Pastel, Glass, Graphics/Printmaking, Jewelry, Leather/Fiber, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, and Wood. Applications require 5 images (4 of artwork and 1 booth shot) with a $35 non-refundable application fee. Only original work by the entrant will be considered, and photographs submitted must represent at least 90% of the artist's inventory. Artists must personally attend their exhibit for the entire run of the festival.
Awards include Best of Show ($1,500) and Best in each Category ($300 for 11 awards), determined by on-site judging on the first day. The festival provides a 10'x10' ground space and 1 AMP/120-volt electrical load for $425 booth fee. Artists must provide their own display unit, canopy, and lighting fixtures, with specific tent requirements enforced by an on-site structural engineer. Commercial General Liability insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence coverage is required.
