Tubac Center of the Arts: Postcards for Peace

"Postcards For Peace" is a juried exhibition that runs concurrently with the "Border Celebrations" exhibit. The exhibition invites artists to create artworks that send wishes of healing and peace to the people and communities that struggle with issues related to life on the border. The exhibition is open to artists in all media.

Artwork must be original and finished at 6" x 9" (either a 4" x 6" work matted in a 4" x 6" window cut in a 6" x 9" mat board, or completed art size of 6" x 9" for work not requiring matting). Work will not be framed. The design may be either vertical or horizontal. Original photography and digital art are acceptable, but giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted. Artwork must be executed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Up to four images may be submitted for consideration in jpg format only; no more than two works per artist will be selected. Entry fee is $25 ($20 for TCA Members). All accepted work must be for sale, with TCA retaining a 40% commission. Awards include Best of Show ($100), Award of Excellence ($75), and Award of Merit ($50). Jury results will be notified February 4, 2013. Shipped art is due by February 27, 2013; hand-delivered art is due by March 4, 2013. The opening reception is Friday, March 15, 2013, 5-7pm. Artists are responsible for delivery and shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of unsold artwork.
