About This Call
The Members' Open Exhibit is an invitational exhibition for artist members of Tubac Center of the Arts. Members may enter one 2D or 3D artwork. The nonrefundable entry fee is $25. The invitational passcode is TCAMEMBER, which is required to access the application.
All artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired. TCA reserves the right to disqualify any selected entry upon arrival that does not meet these requirements or is deemed unsuitable for display. Entry must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted. All work must be for sale; TCA will retain a 40% commission. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on October 9, 2016, including sold art.
Awards will be selected and presented in person during the opening reception on September 2, 2016, 5-7pm. This year's awards judge is Alisha Taylor, Art Show Director of the Mountain Oyster Club of Tucson. Awards: Best of Show $175, Best of Photography $100, Award of Excellence $100, Award of Merit $75, Honorable Mention $50. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after the close of the exhibition. Artists must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of their artwork. Art must be picked up by October 10, 2016.
