About This Call
Tubac Center of the Arts presents its 47th Members' Juried Exhibit, an invitational juried exhibition for artist members. All mediums are accepted. The juror is Dr. Julie Sasse, chief curator and Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Tucson Museum of Art.
Entry fee is $32 for the first image and $3 for each additional image (up to 4 works may be entered). Artwork must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Giclee reproductions are not permitted. All artwork must arrive in a condition ready to professionally display or hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired. No saw tooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA will retain a 40% commission.
Awards will be selected and presented during the opening reception on Friday, December 9, 2016 (5-7pm). Awards include: Best of Show ($300), Award of Excellence ($200), Award of Merit ($100), Ursula Suess Abstract Award ($100), and two Honorable Mention awards ($50 each). The exhibition runs December 9, 2016 through January 15, 2017. Shipped artwork is due by November 28-December 2, 2016; hand-delivered artwork is due by December 5, 2016. Artwork must be picked up by January 16, 2017. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid barcoded shipping label for return of artwork.
