Tubac Center of the Arts - Arizona Aqueous XXVII

Arizona Aqueous XXVII is an exhibition for works created with water-based pigments on paper as the major portion of the work. Eligible entries include paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations. Artists are encouraged to submit innovative work, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be original creations by the artist. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted.

Up to four works may be entered for consideration, with a maximum of two works per artist selected for the exhibition. Entry fee is $35 ($30 for TCA Members), with an additional $5 per image for images 2, 3, and 4 ($3 for members). Jurying will be based on digital images in JPG format only. All artwork must arrive ready to hang and properly framed or matted in white, black, or neutral colors with simple frames and firm wiring. All work must be for sale, with TCA retaining a 40% commission. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close on Sunday, February 24, 2013, including sold work.

Awards include Juror's Award ($250), Best of Show ($250), Award of Excellence ($150), and Award of Merit ($100). The juror is Mark Mehaffey. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of unsold work. Shipped art is due January 2-7, 2013, with hand-delivered art due Monday, January 7, 2013. The opening reception is Friday, January 11, 2013, 5-7pm. Art must be picked up Monday, February 25, 2013.
