About This Call
The Tubac Center for the Arts presents its 43rd annual Members' Juried Exhibit, an invitational juried exhibition for members of the Tubac Center for the Arts.
Submissions open June 15, 2012, with an entry deadline of September 24, 2012. Artists will be notified the week of September 24, 2012. Shipped artwork is due by November 5-12, 2012, and hand-delivered artwork by Monday, November 12, 2012. The opening reception is Friday, November 16, 2012, from 5-7pm. Artwork must be picked up by Monday, January 7, 2013. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close on Sunday, January 6, 2013, including sold work. Up to four works may be entered for consideration in jpg format only. No more than two works per artist will be selected. Entry fee is $30, with an additional $2.50 per image for up to 4 entries. Artwork must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted. All artwork must arrive ready to hang and suitably matted (white, black, or neutral colors preferred), simply framed, and firmly wired. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. Awards include Best of Show ($250), Award of Excellence ($150), and Award of Merit ($100). The juror is Sam Woolcott. Artists agree to release use of images of accepted works to TCA as a permanent record of the exhibition and for promotional use relating to the exhibition and Art Center.
