Tubac Center for the Arts Arizona Aqueous XXXII

A national juried exhibition for water-based pigments on paper. Eligible entries include paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, and two or three-dimensional wall pieces and installations. Work must be innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract, and must have been completed within the last 24 months. Work previously displayed at TCA is not eligible. All work must be original and entirely the creation of the artist. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted.

Entry fee is $36 ($32 with TCA Member discount). Up to four works may be entered for consideration at $5 each additional entry ($3 with member discount). Jurying will be done on the basis of digital images in jpg format only. The juror is Joanne Stuhr, former Chief Curator of the Tucson Museum of Art. Awards include: Best of Show $1,000, Juror's Award $500, Award of Excellence $250, Award of Merit $100, and two Honorable Mention awards of $75 each.

All artwork must arrive ready to hang and suitably matted (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close on Sunday, February 25, 2018, including sold art. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a barcoded preprinted prepaid shipping label for return of artwork. Submissions open September 25, 2017. Entry deadline is December 8, 2017. Jury process occurs December 9-15, 2017. Artists will be notified the week of December 18, 2017. Shipped art is due January 8-12, 2018, and hand-delivered art is due January 15, 2018. Opening reception is January 19, 2018, 5-7pm. Art must be picked up the week of February 26, 2018.
