True Grit

Submit your art that explores, subverts, or is inspired by the themes, landscapes, and cultures of the American West. And because this is Memento Mori Gallery, we always invite the outsider, the lowbrow, and the macabre. Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo is a lowbrow/outsider contemporary art gallery located in the 40West Arts District, part of the art walk circuit, and in the same shopping center as Casa Bonita.

Entry fee is $25 per piece, with a maximum of 2 pieces allowed. Artwork must be for sale, with 40% of sale going to gallery. Pieces must be ready to hang or display physically - hanging wire preferred, no adhesive mounts, and must be able to hang from a hook or nail. Digital artwork will not be displayed unless printed and framed/mounted properly. Photographic work depicting another artist's artwork without express permission will not be accepted, including street art. Out-of-state artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery.

Show dates are January 2-23, 2026, with drop off on December 27, 2025 and pick up on January 31, 2026. First Friday Reception is scheduled for 6-9pm. The gallery is located at 6451 W. Colfax Ave, Suite B, Lakewood, Colorado 80214.
