Trompe L'oeil Art Advocacy Bus Wrap Design—RFQ

Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with GoPegasus and United Arts of Central Florida, seeks one or more artists or artist teams to develop a trompe l'oeil design for a luxury coach bus wrap. The bus will travel to Tallahassee for Arts Advocacy Days beginning March 21, 2023, and will remain in circulation in Central Florida for approximately six months. The selected artist(s) will receive $1,200, with additional stipends of $300 provided to finalists for proposal development.

The artwork must be submitted in digital media format and should represent the thriving arts and culture scene in Central Florida. The design should use a trompe l'oeil effect to create greater depth and encourage people to take photos and selfies. The artwork can contain words but does not need to include a logo. Artists will be evaluated on artistic excellence, professional experience, and compatibility with the county and community.

Eligibility is open to professional or student artists working in any appropriate media. Applications require a professional resume and a minimum of one image (maximum six) of trompe l'oeil designs, which may be finished works or conceptual drawings. Selected artists must complete a W-9 Vendor Registration Form and will receive payment by check.
