Tripping the Light Fantastic: Excellence in Photography

Tripping the Light Fantastic is the first international juried photography exhibition presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts in Cape Cod, MA. The exhibition runs July 23 – August 28, 2016, with an opening reception on July 23 from 5-7pm. Juror: Rowland Scherman.

Submissions are accepted in three categories: People, Places, and Things. Both professional and amateur photographers are welcome to submit. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 20 images per artist). Selected work will be displayed in the gallery in 16 x 20 black metal frames provided by the Center. All entries will also be featured in an online gallery on the website, with images rotated in a digital exhibit mounted in the physical gallery. Approximately 30 works will be hung in the gallery.

Total prize money is $5,500, including a $2,500 grand prize and $1,000 prizes in each category to be announced at the opening reception. Artists may offer their work for sale at a price of their choosing; the Center takes a 40% commission. Accepted photographers will be notified on June 16, 2016. Copyright remains with the photographers. International submissions are encouraged.
