Trinity Art Show 9th Annual Juried Exhibition

The Trinity Art Show invites artists to create visual art providing a unique perspective on the Christian view and experience in contemporary life. The 2025 theme is from Matthew 9:13: "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." The show is open to art that explicitly references faith and art in conversation with the spirituality suggested by the theme. Trinity Cathedral is a progressive Episcopal Community in Sacramento.

Accepted work will be exhibited at the Lexis Gallery at Trinity Cathedral from October 4 – November 9, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 5 – 7 pm. The juror is Patricia Altschul, a nationally recognized artist. Total cash awards are $5,000: First place $3,000, Second place $1,500, and Honorable Mention $500.

Eligibility: Open to all artists residing in the U.S. Original artwork produced in the last five years depicting subject matter related to the theme. Work cannot have been previously exhibited in Sacramento within the last two years. All work must be for sale and priced at $7,000 or less. Accepted media: 2D and 3D artwork. Size restrictions: 2D work no larger than 40" x 40" and 3D work no taller than 7'. Artwork selected for display must be ready to hang; work under glass requires rigid frames. Entry fees: $45 for 3 entries, $5 each additional entry, with a limit of 6 entries per artist. Submit 3-6 images online by August 20, 2025 at 11:59 pm MST. Notifications will be sent on September 3, 2025.
