Treasures

Treasures is an online juried exhibition open to all 2D media (excluding photography and digital art) with over $300 in cash prizes. The theme is "What do you treasure? Show us through art!" Artists may submit still lifes, portraits, landscapes, or abstract work.

Eligibility requirements: Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and must be original work not copied from copyrighted material, painted by another, created under direct guidance of another, or created by following a tutorial. Work may have been done in a class or workshop using only the artist's own reference material. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, egg tempera, and other 2D media on any 2D surface. Photography, 3D media, reproductions, and digital art are not acceptable.

Submit 1-3 images at $15 per image for non-members or $10 per image for members. Exhibition dates are January 24 - February 20, 2026. Notification of acceptance is January 23, 2026. The online show opening reception is Thursday, January 29 at 6pm ET on Zoom. Work may be listed as not for sale by entering 0 in the price section or contacting [email protected]. If work is sold through the online gallery, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society receives 35% of the sale. Shipping is not required as pieces will be displayed in digital format only. There is no size limit for this show.
