TRAHC's 35th Annual Juried Exhibition

TRAHC's 35th Annual Juried Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older. The exhibition runs July 7 - September 2, 2023 at TRAHC in Texarkana, Texas. Artists may submit up to three original works executed in the last two years (2021-2023) in the following media: photography, printmaking, sculpture, aquamedia, oils, acrylic, fiberarts, collage, intermedia, drawing, and video. A maximum of two pieces per artist can be accepted into the exhibit. The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, payable by credit card through Callforentry.org. Entries must be submitted online by May 27, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. A brief artist statement is required with your application.

Judging occurs in two phases. Initial judging takes place May 30 - June 1, 2023, with results emailed by June 2, 2023. After accepted artwork arrives, the juror will view the exhibit in person to select award-winning pieces. Winners will be announced at the opening reception on July 7, 2023 at 7 p.m. Accepted artwork must be received by June 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. and may be shipped via FedEx or UPS with pre-paid return shipping labels, or hand-delivered by appointment with Chris Wicker at [email protected]. All work must be original, completed, and ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Video work must include its own equipment and installation instructions.

Awards include: Yates Collection Purchase Award ($2,000, regional artists within 100 miles of Texarkana only), Best of Show ($1,000), First Place ($750), Second Place ($500), TXK150 Award ($400), Third Place ($300), and Fourth Place ($200). Any artwork sold incurs a 20% commission to TRAHC. Artwork not removed by September 2, 2023 will be deemed TRAHC property unless prior written arrangements are made.
