TRAHC's 34th Annual Juried Exhibition

TRAHC's 34th Annual Juried Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older. The exhibition accepts work in the following media: photography, printmaking, sculpture, aquamedia, oils, acrylic, fiberarts, collage, intermedia, drawing, video, and digital. All work must be original in concept and not copied from another artist's work. No installations or artwork requiring special technical installation or assembly will be accepted. Entries are limited to a maximum of three works executed in the last two years (2020-2022), with a maximum of two pieces per artist accepted into the exhibit. For video work, the artist must provide proper equipment and installation instructions.

The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, payable by credit card through Callforentry.org. Entries must be submitted online by June 4, 2022 at midnight CST. Judging occurs in two phases: initial judging June 6-10, 2022 to select accepted artwork, and a second phase after all accepted work arrives to select award winners. Results will be emailed by June 13, 2022. Accepted artwork must be received by June 28, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The exhibition runs July 15 - September 3, 2022 at TRAHC in Texarkana, Texas. Winners will be announced at the opening reception on July 15, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

Awards include: Yates Collection Purchase Award ($2,000, limited to regional artists), Best of Show ($1,000), First Place ($750), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($300), and Fourth Place ($200). Any artwork sold incurs a 20% commission to TRAHC. Shipping and return shipping costs and insurance are the artist's responsibility. Artwork must be shipped via FedEx or UPS with pre-paid return labels. Hand delivery is available by appointment with Chris Wicker at [email protected]. No glass is allowed except for pastel work (at artist's own risk); Plexiglas only. No packing peanuts allowed. The juror is Carmen Champion, an art historian, curator, and fine art appraiser specializing in 20th Century American Art and Texas Regionalism.
