TRAHC 31st Annual Juried Exhibition

TRAHC's 31st Annual Juried Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older. All work must be original in concept and not copied from another artist's work. No installations or artwork requiring special technical installation or assembly will be accepted. Entries are limited to a maximum of three works executed in the last two years. A maximum of two pieces of artwork per artist can be juried into the exhibit. The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, payable by credit card through Callforentry.org. All fees are non-refundable.

Accepted work will be exhibited at TRAHC from July 26 - August 24, 2019. Judging occurs in two phases: initial judging takes place June 10-14, 2019, and after all accepted artwork arrives, the juror will view the exhibit in person to select award-winning artwork. Winners will be announced at the opening reception on July 26, 2019. Results of the first phase of judging will be emailed by June 17, 2019.

Accepted artists are responsible for shipping and return shipping costs and insurance. Reusable shipping containers only; no packing peanuts or glass allowed (Plexiglas only, except for pastel work at artist's own risk). Shipping via FedEx or UPS is mandatory with pre-paid return labels. Hand delivery is available by appointment with Dr. Becky Black. All accepted artwork must be original, completed, and ready to hang. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality. All paintings must be framed or gallery wrapped with fully painted edges. Two-dimensional works on paper must be framed and under Plexiglas (unless pastel). All freestanding sculptures must have felt pads attached to the bottom. Artwork is due by July 12, 2019 at 3:45 p.m. and may not be removed prior to August 24, 2019. Any artwork sold incurs a 20% commission. Award amounts: Yates Collection Purchase Award $1000, Best of Show $1000, First Place $750, Second Place $500, Third Place $300, Fourth Place $200. Juror: Lauren Cross, PhD, MFA, Adjunct Professor and Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies Lecturer at University of North Texas.
