TPS32: The International Competition

TPS32: The International Competition is a juried photography exhibition open to international artists of all levels, 18 years and older. The competition is juried by María Beatriz H. Carrión, Assistant Curator of Photography at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, Texas. This open-themed call welcomes all photography-based work including digital, silver, and alternative processes. Works exhibited previously in a TPS show are not eligible. Current members of the TPS Board of Directors may enter but are not eligible for awards.

Entry fees are $30 for TPS members or $38 for non-members, covering 5 images with an additional $6 per image up to a maximum of 12 images. A minimum of 5 images is required. The entry deadline is July 16, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Zone. Exhibiting artists will be announced August 2, 2024. The exhibition opens September 20, 2024 at the Cain Art Gallery, Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m., and closes November 22, 2024.

Awards include First Place ($500), Second Place ($300), Third Place ($200), and up to 5 Honorable Mentions. Accepted work must be ready-to-hang with wire and D-rings, not exceeding 30 inches in the longest dimension including frame. White mats and white or black gallery-quality frames are required; plexiglass must be used instead of glass. Framed prints with prepaid return UPS or FedEx shipping labels must arrive by August 24, 2024. TPS will collect a 30% commission from all prints sold during the exhibition. Digital submissions should be JPG files, minimum 1200 pixels on the longest side, 5 MB maximum, without watermarks.
