TPS 33: The International Competition

Texas Photographic Society announces TPS 33: The International Competition, a juried exhibition open to photographers internationally of all levels, 18 years and older. The competition is open-themed and welcomes all photography-based work including digital, silver, and alternative processes. Works exhibited previously in a TPS show are not eligible. Current members of the TPS Board of Directors may enter but are not eligible for awards.

Submissions require a minimum of 5 images and a maximum of 12 images. Digital JPG files must be a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side and 5 MB maximum, with watermarks removed. Entry fees are $30 for current TPS members or $40 for non-members for 5 images, plus $6 for each additional image. The deadline for entry is November 6, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Zone. Exhibiting artists will be announced November 15, 2025. The exhibition opens December 18, 2025 at the Center for Contemporary Art in Abilene, Texas, and closes February 7, 2026 with a reception from 3-5pm.

Accepted work must be ready-to-hang using wire and D-rings, not exceeding 30 inches in the longest dimension including frame. White mats and white or black gallery-quality frames are required; color mats and glass are not acceptable. Plexiglass must be used with frames. A prepaid return UPS or FedEx shipping label must be provided with each work. Framed prints must arrive by December 10, 2025. Awards include First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $200, and up to 5 Honorable Mentions. TPS will collect a 30% commission from all prints sold during the exhibition.
