About This Call
The Town of Prescott Valley invites artists or artist teams to submit Statements of Qualifications for professional artistic design/build services for the Civic Center Complex Entry Sculpture Project. The Town seeks an artist with vision expressing imagery that reflects the culture, history, people and values of the community. The public art sculpture will be the signature feature for a newly constructed plaza and multi-lane traffic controlled intersection serving as the entry to the civic complex, which houses town hall, police, recreation, library services, a regional secondary education campus, and outdoor performance center.
The commissioned artwork should engage citizens, students, staff, and visitors in ways that speak to ideas of community, sustainability, education, and regional diversity. Artists or artist teams working in the United States are eligible to apply. Qualifications submitted by current employees or family members of current employees of the Town of Prescott Valley will not be considered. The sculpture must be designed for 360-degree viewing, scaled appropriately within the plaza environment, and serve as a focal point. Media must be durable, low maintenance, graffiti-repellant, permanent, safe for children and adults, and ADA compliant. Water features will not be considered. The artwork must be integrated within the established site and existing landscape. Artists must provide one year warranty of work and complete installation by June 10, 2016. Submissions must include 12-22 images and up to 6 videos via CallforEntry.org. Statement of Qualifications deadline: November 22, 2015, 11:59 PM MST.
