Town Hall Significant Sculpture

The Town of Davie will commission an artist or artist team for a work for hire project involving the design, fabrication, and installation of a significant sculpture to be located at the new Town Hall of Davie, Florida. The sculpture should be of significant size with a minimum height of twelve (12) feet, be a standalone work of art, and capture the heart of Davie focusing on an equestrian theme.

The sculpture will be installed at the new Town Hall of Davie, 6591 Orange Drive, Davie, FL 33314. The selected artist is responsible for any necessary engineering and permitting, and will work with the Town's Architect on the installation of the foundation, concrete base, and up lighting. The artist must ensure that the design will be code compliant and can withstand South Florida weather conditions and wind load requirements. Foundation, concrete pad, and uplighting will be installed by the Town of Davie based on the approved artist's specifications.

The purchase budget for the project is $95,000.00, which includes all insurance, taxes, fees, permits, delivery, engineering, and artwork installation. Applicants must submit 3-20 images of work samples. The entry deadline is September 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. This is a national call open to artists in all states.
