About This Call
The Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA) is seeking up to 10 emerging artists, filmmakers, and animators to submit short films and animations (5 minutes or less) for a new mobile pop-up theatre that will tour to arts and cultural events in Colorado in 2018 and potentially nationwide in 2019 and beyond. Selected artists will receive a $250 honorarium. The primary location for the installation will be Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, CO, which hosts major concerts throughout the summer months and attracts over 250,000 patrons each concert season. Films and animations will rotate to keep programming fresh.
Submission Requirements: Artists should be students and/or emerging artists. Submit up to 2 films/animations per artist, each not exceeding 5 minutes in length. Each submission must include audio; entries without audio will not be considered. Video files must be in .MOV or .MP4 format, under 100MB, with a minimum resolution of 640 x 480 and minimum 12 fps. If selected, you will be required to provide the highest resolution possible to MOA. Additional materials required: artist statement (1000 words or less), CV, and artist biography (1000 words or less).
MOA and visual arts curator Ivar Zeile will jury all submissions that meet the requirements. Zeile is the founder and creative director of Denver Digerati and supports the annual Supernova Outdoor Digital Animation Festival. He has worked independently in film and video, including a decade on staff with the Sundance Film Festival. Entry fee: $15.00. Submission deadline: May 13, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
